How to change a firmware for KAON and XTREME : 


What you need : 

- Null modem cable (female - female) 
with this pin connections : 

2-3 
3-2 
5-5 

FILES : 

- Any *.bin file of firmware to update , etc 
- KUP226user.zip or another loader program

How to do : 

1 - Decoder OFF from main rear switch 
2 - Start Kup226 ( or another loader prog ), select a COM port , where 
you have conected the null modem cable, 
3 - Select with - FILE - loader option a *.bin firmware file 
4 - Now put ON the decoder from main rear switch ONLY , and the 
Upgrade start automatically 
5 - When the upgrade finish 
( CONECT/DOWNLOADING/FLASH WRITE ) 
the decoder reboot automatically 
6 - Close a loader program , disconect a null modem cable 
and put ON again your decoder 
7 - Go to MENU : system configuration option 
and take OFF all protections : 
Menu password / Program protect etc . 
7 - Go out from menu and go in any channel 
8 - NOW you can enter to the SECRET EMULATION MENU 
and from your remote control use that combination : 

YELLOW - BLUE - GREEN - MENU 

and you are inside the EMU menu , for change the keys etc. 

9 - ALL down !!! 

IF YOU GOT A ERROR : UPGRADE FAIL, you must need that : 

FILES : 

- XtremeLoader 2.10.zip for upgrade a firmware 
- First_v88_xh.zip for come back to a old firmware

HOW TO DO : 

1- Decoder OFF 
2 - XtremeLoader 2.10, select a COM , etc 
3 - In FILE open First_v88_xh.bin 
4 - Decoder ON 
5 - You can read on the loader program screen : - Old bin - 
6 - NOW write 1 2 3 4 5 and enter , the program loade go in 
SUPERVISOR MODE 
7 - OFF the decoder but NOT the program 
8 - In the program loader select now a firmware for Upgrade again : 
choose a *.bin file 
9 - Now ON again your decoder and the upgrade start automatically 
10 - When the upgrade finish , like before decoder OOF , take out 
a null modem etc. 
11- go to decoder menu : system configuration and take out all 
protections 
12 - Go out and choose any channel 

SECRET MENU : 

Pick in this order on your remote control : 

YELLOS - BLUE - GREEN - MENU 

Please pay attention in this sequence don't use any code number 


Master code if ask you : 0 0 0 0
