NagraEdit 5.2 Final - Build 1070
Released by #echoware (irc.fxchat.net) on August 14th, 2006
=========================================================================

This latest release of NagraEdit brings some frequently requested
features to the program and fixes a few minor bugs that were present in
previous versions. Nagraedit now supports the use of programmable loader
interfaces or glitchers to read and write cards. Using the included
NagraEdit loader firmware it is now possible to use all of the common
read, write and D2C features exactly as they were previously supported by
an ISO device. The custom loader firmware allows for reading and writing
of cards in a matter of seconds and the use of D2C scripts without the
need for extra response and delay commands. This effectively makes the
loader transparent to the end user while still providing the top quality
speed and reliability that has always been associated with the NagraEdit
line of software. In addition, NagraEdit now supports the editing of
datatypes via the new QuickEdit feature. This feature allows for the
definition of datatype fields through the use of the standard NagraEdit
dynamic ! and static $ commands. With datatype fields defined it is
possible to edit datatypes using the QuickEdit feature in a way that
will be familiar to those who have used the NagraEdit datatype editor
for previous families of Nagra cards. For information on how to make use
of these new features please read over the NagraEdit Help and FAQ
sections of the NagraEdit manual.

In addition to these major features there have been a few minor updates
made to the program. The write process has been changed slightly to make
it harder for users to accidentally damage their cards by telling
NagraEdit to write bad data. This change is transparent and should have
no effect upon existing patch or image files in use. NagraEdit will now
support the loading of image files with the .BIN extension and will
prompt for the ROM revision of such files when loaded. A Clean Card
feature has been added in place of the Quick Access Patch feature. While
it is similar in function, its new name should help clarify its intended
purpose. Syntax highlighting will now be disabled by default when
NagraEdit is run on legacy operating systems such as Windows 95 and 98.
This should allow for users running these operating systems to edit large
EPx and D2C files without them being prematurely truncated. This can
still be manually overridden using the options menu.

We would like thank everyone in the community who have been
overwhelmingly supportive of NagraEdit over the last little while. Your
efforts to point out bugs and suggest new features have been
indispensable in making NagraEdit into the successful software that it
is today. As always, your contributions are greatly appreciated.

Thank you everyone,
The NagraEdit Group
