smargo reader vast USB adres geven

Dan zou ik aanraden om gewoon een oudere kernel te installeren.

Gebruik aptitude en zoek dan naar een 4.x kernel. Waarschijnlijk heb je nu een 5.x kernel...

wel effe een opmerking de usb2.0 hub zit er nu niet tussen zou dat een probleem kunnen zijn ?

Doe eens "ls -al /dev | grep -i usb" als de readers zijn ingeplugd.

Ik bedoelde of er in de /dev (een "v" weg-ge-autocorrect door mijn telefoon) directory  "files" bestaan waar en "tty" in de naam zit, en ook "usb"... Maar dat kan je dus eenvoudig vinden met het commando wat ik hierboven gaf..

 

Wat ik begreep uit de vorige berichten van andere forum gebruikers is dat de FTDI chip aangesloten op een USB3 poort onder linux problemen kan geven? Dus mijn suggestie was om een USB2 hub aan te sluiten op de USB3 poort, en dan de readers op de hub. (Dus dat ze op een USB2 zijn aangesloten)

Dan wordt er dus geen tty gemaakt voor de serial converter. Ik zie dat de modules wel geladen zijn in de kernel:

De kernel driver is gewoon niet gelukkig. Als je met aptitude kijkt welke kernels je kan installeren, kan je dan een of meerdere versies (releases) terug?

heb aptitude geïnstalleerd heb hier weinig ervaring mee 

ik zie bij de / kernel alleen 4.15.0.97 / 110 staan
