Verder maak ik gebruik van twee DVB/t tuners in de DM8000, wel zo makkelijk vanwege de beperkingen.
Maar eerlijk is eerlijk, als de DM kapot gaat koop ik direct een Ultimo ervoor terug.
Vraagje, een nadeel van de AB van de Duo is dat je er niet de TV mee kunt aan en uitzetten, erg lastig is dat, kan dat met de Ultimo wel?
Anders zou ik wederom gebruik moeten maken van de Logitech AB zoals ik die nu ook in gebruik heb voor de Duo op de slaapkamer.
In de woonkamer maak ik gebruik van Harmony One, geweldige AB is dat, het is even instellen maar daarna verloopt alles met één druk op de knop.
TV can middels de VU+ afstandbediening bestuurd worden met AB van UNO en Ultimo
met en zonder HDMI CEC

Tuurlijk, maar niet precies hetzelfde zoals op de dreambox........
Hoe denk je dat is niet hetzelfde.
Het is niet afhankelijk van de box, maar van het image en de skin.
Dreambox heeft geen voordeel voor de EPG.

Natuurlijk is er grafische multi-epg in Ultimo images.

Dank voor de inbreng, die ik goed kan volgen.
Toch zou ik heel graag de praktijkervaringen kennen van iemand die zowel DM800/8000 als VU+ Ultimo gewoon is.
Mijn eisen zijn overigens helemaal niet hoog: snel zappen, stabiele werking, goed beeld en geluid, vlot met opname's op ingebouwde harde schijf en tuners die het goed doen voor sateliet en terresteriële ontvangst. Geen bijzondere toepassingen op plugins vandoen.
Afstandbediening niet zo belangrijk vanwege gebruik Logitech Harmony One. Geen mediaplayer-taken nodig.
I heb getest alle bovenstaande ontvangers
VU+Ultimo is uw keuze.

Maar de tijden veranderen.
Enigma 2 is +- voltooid en ze kunnen niet beantwoorden op nieuwe eisen
van moderne satellietontvangers met een sterke multimedia.
DMM in de afgelopen twee jaar heeft niks gedaan alle pure cosmetica.
Bovendien zijn ze niet in staat om ontvangers te maken/verkopen met een concurrerende prijs met dezelfde of betere hardware
als concurrentie.
De concurrentie komt binnenkort (+- half jaar of zo) met andere OS
Zo zal het verhaal over de eigendom van Enigma / DMM zeker in het water vallen.
Zelfs in het gebied van Enigma2 gaat DMM achter
omdat DMM verliezen steun van buitenaf.
DMM is niet interessant geworden met closed source...

Ik ben al optimistisch.
Deze mensen kennen hun job.

Origineel bericht van: MichelAls ik xbmc wil, installeer ik TV headend en XBMC op een HTPC. Dan ben ik wezenlijk goedkoper uit en flexibeler dan het kopen van een halffabricaat.
Ik geloof niet in dit soort hardware. Dat gaat te veel op een PC lijken en dat doet een echte PC toch echt beter.

Ik zag in Okura hotel in Amsterdam met mijn eigen ogen een fantastische XBMC testontvanger met een verbluffende media beeldkwaliteit met verbluffende graphics.
Dit is niet gezien op een E2.
Ik sprak met de coders en ze werken heel veel op coding van deze new ontvanger.
VU Ultimo.
VU Ultimo is een fantastische ontvanger
met een zeer goed ontwerp met een zeer goed beeld
en een zeer mooie display en een dual/dubbel afstandsbediening voor native internet browser en als standard AB.

Usuals ,als het verschil is aanwezig op alle satellieten.

Ik wens succes aan de DMM met TPM ,genuine en licenties.
Geen ondersteuning voor hen.

Het is de taak voor hen en niet voor mij.
Ik weet alleen dat de TPM en genuine het gebruik van plugins/etc op andere ontvangers voorkomt,volgens de wet wel of niet,dit is natuurlijk niet GPL.
En daarom zal voor dreambox ook minder ondersteuning zijn
door degenen die niet achter dit beleid staan.

Verhaal voor degenen die niet weten dreambox/DMM geschiedenis.
De waarheid achter gesloten deuren is een beetje anders.
Nu met de echte concurrentie VU/CT etc.
DMM probeert zichzelf te beschermen
maar op een manier die is tegen de beginselen van de GPL.
Wanneer DMM 100% GPL ondersteund, zullen wij onmiddellijk doen alles onder de GPL. -

Nu loopt je alleen maar op anderen te hakken, terwijl jullie er zelf een grote puinhoop van maken.
Het heeft allemaal niets met GPL te maken. Die checks zitten in de drivers (non GPL) en plugin bouwers mogen zelf kiezen of ze die checks wel of niet in hun plugins zetten. Dat heeft niets te maken met GPL, maar is gewoon juridisch 100% correct, of jij dat nu leuk vind of niet.
Enigma2 en alle aanpassingen daarop zijn GPL en dat blijft vast ook zo, maar plugins kan je bouwen onder welke licentie je maar wilt.
Dat alles in tegenstelling tot wat jullie doen en dus absoluut niet juridisch correct is. Jullie schenden de GPLv2 licentie van Enigma2 en de Creative Commons, GPL en GLPv2 licenties van diverse plugins bouwers namelijk wel!
Een typisch gevalletje van de pot verwijt de ketel...

Michel stop DMM/Ihad te verdedigen
dat vernietigde de GPL met TPM en genuine ,
omdat DMM niet langer de enige is die een winst maakt op GPL en Enigma2.
Nu, veel auteurs zien de waarheid
en bieden niet meer steun voor dreambox en dus ook niet de GPL.
NU,de belangrijkste tegenstander van de GPL is DMM zelf
en degenen die DMM ondersteunen.
De waarheid doet pijn maar het is zo.

Wat ik schreef
In het Gemini-team DMM groepen gebruiken TPM en licenties om het gebruik van o.a plugins op de VuPlus ontvangers te voorkomen.
Dus de GPL is uitgebuit door DMM voor de persoonlijke financiële belangen en winsten.
GPL voor de dreambox, en voor andere licenties en TPM.
Mooi niet..

Ik ga akkoord en respect de forum regels.
Ze zijn voor mij altijd voorop,want ik ben ook admin op de andere fora.
Mijn mening weerspiegelt grotendeels de situatie op de satelliet scene vandaag.
GPL zou de beste oplossing zijn, maar alleen als het wordt gerespecteerd door alle.
Aangezien dit niet zo is, ben ik bang dat lang zal het niet overleven,als gevolg van commerciële belangen.
Aanvallen op de GPL en de PLI door dezelfde mensen huichelaars ,bewijst dat ik gelijk had.
DMM >>> GPL is goed, zolang ik het exclusieve recht heb om winst te maken.
Dat verklaart mijn positie in dit alles.
Natuurlijk heeft iedereen zijn eigen mening.

Het feit is dat alle polls en berichten die ik gezien heb BH images tonen aan de top.
(Dan denk ik in de eerste plaats op het internationale toneel)
Blackhole/nabilosat hebben een aantal sites en toevallig beginnen ze graag polls waar toevallig de blackhole images altijd als beste uitkomt.
Het blijft natuurlijk allemaal persoonlijk voorkeur.
Natuurlijk is dit niet het geval.
Nabilosat heeft niets meer te maken met BH images.
Ik heb het over de internationale fora en niet het forum voor de BH images.
Interesse in BH images is altijd groot geweest en het is een feit.

Note on Multiple Partitioning:
The "Usb Format Wizard" of Black Hole 1.7.5 will allow you to partition and format your
usb sticks from 1 to 4 different partitions.
You can for example create 3 partitions in your usb stick and then mount them in 3 different mountpoints in device manager (i.e usb, universes, cf)
Note on Universes setup:
By clicking ok you will now access the Universe Configuration menu (Black Hole home doesn't need a config)
You will have 3 options:
Universe access protected
Universe access pin
Force reboot in Black hole.
Setting the first option to Yes, will mean that the Universe will be protected with a pin
If you do not set a pin the default pin will be 0000
Setting force reboot in Black Hole means the image will not boot into this Universe (useful for a pin protected universe, to be sure that nobody can access it, if you forgot to switch to another dimension before you poweroff).
Note: the Universes pin and config are reset by a big bang
Note on Multiple UPnP servers.
Black Hole 1.7.5 include 2 different Dlna Servers:
Mediatomb
Minidlna
- Mediatomb allows you to stream between two different boxes and take advantage of the BH Tuner/Server feature, but it is not compatible with many devices and the project is no longer updated.
- Minidlna is more upto date and compatible with many devices and most modern tv's. Use it if you want to connect from your tv or other devices to your box to share your media contents.
Warning: you cannot use old Universes on the new image version.
