    Het is Digitenne ook gelukt veel kabelkijkers weg te snoepen.

    Waarom lukt het Canal Digitaal dan niet?


    - Bestaande klantenbase (vastnet, mobiel, internet)
    - Bekend bedrijf
    - Lagere drempel (Geen schotel op het dak nodig, COAX aanleggen,etc)
    - Betere marketing, specifiek op hun doelgroep (lage prijs)
    - Gratis pornokanaal (zal me niks verbazen als dit hun nr.1 selling point is :D)

    Premiere gaat rebranden naar Sky Deutschland per Juli 2009. De rebranding is voor zowel Premiere Duitsland als Oostenrijk. Per deze datum zal er ook een aangepast aanbod komen.

The name change will be done in Austria and Germany. Subject to approval by shareholders at the Annual General Meeting, the name of the company will be changed from Premiere AG to Sky Deutschland AG. As a result of the decision by the Management Board with the approval of the Supervisory Board to discontinue the use of the Premiere brand, the value of the Premiere trademark will be written off in the second quarter of this year. The impact on net profit will be negative EUR 256.1 million, comprising the write-off of EUR 331.6 million offset by a release of deferred tax liabilities of EUR 75.5 million. The name change will have no impact on existing customer contracts. Nevertheless, all existing customers will have the opportunity to adopt the new services when Sky launches in July. The company plans to unveil details of the new packages and pricing in early June. The Sky brand and associated trademarks have been licensed from BSkyB. Premiere also announced its financial results for the first quarter of this year, with revenues growing slightly from EUR 231 million in Q1 2008 to EUR 232.7 million. The EBITDA loss of EUR 29.8 million compared with a EBITDA profit of EUR 2.9 million in Q1 2008, leading to a net loss of EUR 80 million compared with EUR 28.1 million. On 31 March, Premiere had a total of 2.371 million direct subscribers, a reduction of 28,000 from 2.399 million at 31 December 2008. The number of customers of the Flex offer, which Premiere is phasing out, decreased during Q1 by 17,000 to 68,000.

    Ik denk dat hij eerder bedoelde één kanaal met content van NL1,2 en 3. Lijkt mij ook een veel betere oplossing.

    Neuh, maakt mij geen pepernoot uit hoor of we 3 kanalen krijgen of 1 combi kanaal - maar even vanuit het perspectief van CD en evt. andere TV-boeren is het misschien effectiever. In ieder geval totdat er genoeg HD content is om de zenders volledig HD uit te laten zenden.

    Dat is ook een beetje waarom ik zei dat er weer een halve zender bijkomt. Dat de transponderruimte op is, oké, maar dan moet je ook niet zomaar zenders half toevoegen... Eén zender is niet zo erg, maar als er alleen nog maar halve zenders worden toegevoegd is dat wel jammer.

    Ik noem een: TV Oranje, BiB, NostalgieNet, Etalagekanaal, Film 1.3, Sport 1.2, XXX Xtreme (heeft wel 24u EPG)...


    XXX Xtreme is wel 24/7 te ontvangen hoor?
