A user reported a bug in the ipkg-build script that I stole - the tar seems to ignore the --exclude flag which causes that at / a not needed CONTROL directory is created when unpacking the ipk files.

You can download a new r1 kit with a fixed ipkg-build script.

1) Installation

---------------

 

Spider Fan Plugin should be working with

any 7025 image.

 

First copy the spider-fan*.ipk file from

spider-fan*.zip to /tmp with FTP (TCP/IP

must be working already).

 

If you have flashed an image that offers a

Blue Pannel Manual ipkg Installation, you can

use this functionality to install

the kit.

 

If not, then install the whole files by

entering the following commands in a

Telnet session:

 

cd /

ipkg install /tmp/spider-fan*.ipk

 

If the image offers an enigma2 restart

functionality this is sufficient, if not

simply reboot after extracting the kit.

 

Now you can start Spider Man from the Plugins

Menu or via the spider.sh shell script.

Both reside together with this readme at:

 

/usr/lib/enigma2/python/Plugins/Extensions/SpiderFan

 

2) Usage

--------

The Spider Fan Plugin is an Image Backup and

Addon Grabber.

 

This means that EVERYTHING that you have installed

in Flash after Flashin the Image is detected and

will be put to Jail by Spider Fan.

 

There are 3 Jailtypes supported - tar.bz2, tar.gz

or even an ipk file.

 

Alternatively you can put the entire City

into an nfi Jail.

 

Simply send spider fan on a mission to

send the crominals to jail !

 

If you want to have also your current settings

and timers saved, then maybe do an enigma2

restart before starting the mission.

 

Gutemine supports NO illegal Viewing of

Pay-TV hence evil Files are detected

as Doc Rock and put to an extra jail !

 

And what do we do with these filled jails ?

 

Well this is simple - you can Flash the nfi

Jails as usual with the WebIF or DreamUP

to get the entire city back.

 

All the otehr jails can be released

on parole on the freshly flashed original

Image and all your modifications should be

back !

 

But be carefull if releasing Doc Rock,

you should know what you are doing in

this case !!!

 

So simply Flash the Original Image,

during Boot exit the Startup Assistent

immediately and then Release on Parole

from the Jail.

 

You can install the spider fan plugin

and do the Release with Parole there.

 

If you want to do it manually and want

also your settings back then

you have to stop enigma first:

 

init 4

 

And then you have to release manually:

 

cd /

ipkg install -force-overwrite /media/hdd/spider*.ipk

or:

gunzip /media/hdd/spider*.tar.gz

tar -xvf /media/hdd/spider*.tar

or:

bunzip2 /media/hdd/spider*.tar.bz2

tar -xvf /media/hdd/spider*.tar

 

If you changed the location

of the jail or have choosen

another jail name the above

commands need to be adapted.

 

If the image offers a

Blue Panel you can use this also

to release on parole from the

jail.

 

3) Warnings

-----------

 

Please don't try to release the prisoners

from a jail in another city/image. This

could work if they are similar CVS Levels,

but it could also destroy the city/image

completely.

 

If you have new criminals in your city

and want to release the criminals from

an elder jail then be also carefull, this could

worky (depending who overwrites what)

but is likely to fail.

 

It is therefore recommended if you have

new criminals in your city to make

ALLWAYS a new mission, and release

jails only in the original city.

 

Hence it is always better to use nfi

Jails of the entire city which can be

safely flashed !

Ik heb de plugin geinstalleerd en krijg tijdens het uitvoeren een fout melding dat Bzip2 ontbreekt en dat ik die eerst moet installeren.

Hier maar even gedownload www.bzip.org en geinstalleerd, helaas blijft tijdens het uitvoeren van de plugin deze foutmelding bestaan. Je moet natuurlijk een versie hebben die voor de DM7025 geschikt is, ik zal eens even zoeken of ik een geschikte plugin kan vinden.

Wel staan er netjes de beloofde backupfiles in de root op mijn HDD!

Ik heb nog niet geprobeerd om de bakup image opnieuw te flashen, als dit fout mocht gaan ben ik al mijn instellingen en plugins kwijt.

P.S. ik heb de Gemini 2 op de dreambox draaien.

Hier juist hetzelfde,ik krijg ook die melding ven Bzip2.
Ik heb hem ook nog niet proberen terug te zetten.

FTP to /tmp and use BP Manual Install to install it, OR do manually:

 

cd /

ipkg install /tmp/bzip2*.ipk

 

Next version will have bzip2 als required so that you will have to install it before Spider Fan.
