[all] fatal error na installatie verkeerde skin

ik heb zonet een verkeerde skin in pli geinstalleerd, alleen na het opstarten krijg ik nu een fatal error, kan ik dit op een makkelijke manier ongedaan maken, of moet ik alles opnieuw installeren.

Als je pli op stick hebt kun je de skin verwijderen.

Eerst reboot en andere image selecteren. Met DCC of een ander FTp-programma de desbetreffende skin verwijderen.

Als PLI in je Flash hebt staan......tja dat wordt opnieuw installeren. Voor de volgende keer, effe een backup maken, wel ze makkelijk.

Small tutorial to get your box running again..

 

The primary problem when installing a skin and ending up with a bluescreen

is due to either a widget (or a font) in the skin that doesnt exists in enigma or

vice versa, e.g. a widget in enigma that doesnt exists in the skin...

 

The easiest solution to getting the box up and running again after this scenario is through ftp or telnet. (ftp and telnet will in most times work perfect even if the box seems in a continous bluescreen loop..)

 

 

Here's how to fix it with FTP:

 

 

SOFTWARE:

 

One of the best free FTP clients out there is FileZilla and this can be found here:

http://filezilla.sourceforge.net/

 

 

HOW TO FIX...

 

1. Start your box and wait a few minutes...

2. Open your FTP client and connect to your box with following (default) values

 

Address: Your dreambox ip [192.168.0.2]

User: root

Password: dreambox

Port: 21

 

3. Browse to /usr/share/enigma2

4. Search for a dir with same name as the skin you selected in the skinselector and delete that entire directory.

 

CAUTION!

DO NOT REMOVE enigma2 FOLDER!! REMOVE ONLY THE CAUSING SKIN DIRECTORY!

 

5. Reboot

 

Enigma2 will now search for the latest skin you have specified in the skinselector and realize that it doesnt exist, the default Screwed Stone skin will therefor be used.

 

6. Go to the skinselector and choose another skin...

7. Wait for a skinfix to appear on the internet...
