    Ian: Before we get started, our satellite TV provider requires all customers to have a US residential address. Do you have a current or former US address?

    digiwiew: no idont

    Ian: I'm afraid you don't qualify for the service then. Do you have friends or relatives in the US who could sign up for you ?

    digiwiew: yes i do

    Ian: It's important that they don't already have DirecTV.

    digiwiew: i dont no that

    Ian: Let me give you the requirements.

    Ian: Our customers do need a past or current US residential address. We will also need a US phone (or VOIP) number.

    Ian: The US address must be in your name. Our satellite provider, DirecTV, will confirm the address with a credit check. They will not authorize an account unless it's confirmed.

    Ian: Our satellite provider, DirecTV, requests a US Social Security number. If you do not provide one, they require a deposit for their satellite receiving equipment.

    Ian: If you don't provide a US Social Security number, the deposits are $200 for a standard receiver or $300 for the Digital Video Recorder. The satellite provider will credit this back to you in $5 increments each month on your bill.

    Ian: a2bTV does not have a minimum contract period. DirecTV does require an 18 month commitment for a standard receiver and a 24 month commitment for a DVR. Early cancellation fees do apply.

    Ian: If you cancel your DirecTV account early, DirecTV will charge you $20 X the number of months left on your contract. For example, if you cancel half way through an 18 month agreement, you will be charged $180 ($20 X 9 mos).

    Ian: You can keep your DirecTV account when you move back to the states. We'll ship your receiver to you and DirecTV will send somebody to your house to install a dish on your roof for free.
