had al wat mogelijkheden aangegeven maar het kan ook anders:
laat het output bestand lokaal neerzetten en gebruik robocopy.exe uit de resource kit om de bestanden over te zetten naar de andere server.
robocopy kan directories sync'en of bewaken, eventueel met srvany als service te schedulen

op 1 van de grote schijven een primary partitie maken
met ghost de 4,7 clonen naar de de nieuwe primary, drive letters controleren zonodig aanpassen en voila

heeft hij een koptelefoon uitgang ? ja, dan even een audio cdtje erin en kijken of er geluid uit komt (weet je in iedergeval zeker dat het geen hardware probleem is)
wat je ook kunt doen is de dvdspeler eruit halen, opstarten nieuwe hardware laten detecteren (vind dus niet, maar schoont tegelijkertijd wat oude troep op)
pc uitzetten, dvdspeler er weer in, hij zou hem nu vanzelf moet detecteren.
heb je toevallig een extra harde schijf er in gezet? dan even de jumpers controleren (master/slave/cable select)

wat doet die soap exe eigenlijk ?

binnen een domein:
de computeraccount (zoals die staat in de AD) toevoegen aan de betreffende map
de sytem user heeft default geen netwerkrechten
buiten het domein:
de copyjob laten lopen onder een account die op bij de servers is aangemaakt (lokaal) met gelijke naam en wachwoord
de url beschikbaar stellen en vanaf de andere server een (win)wget jobje runnen om eea binnen te halen.
of d.m.v. Schtasks.exe een eenmalige job schedulen die onder andere credentials loopt.

eens, wie heeft dat... wilde aangeven dat er meer kan spelen, mensen worden soms op verkeere ideeen gebracht, onderstaande waarschuwing is niet voor niets.
mijn beste ervaring is booten van "hirens boot cd" en ntfs2dos gebruiken.

Component Video Cables - What are they?
Component video cables are used for the transmission of component video, often referred to as YUV, YPbPr or YCbCr. The most common component video cables consist of three phono / RCA connectors each end with 75ohm coaxial cable used as the interconnect. Component video cables aren't limited to phono connectors each end, they are also available with a scart plug on one end, BNC connectors on either or both ends etc. One thing all component video leads have in common is they always have three coaxial conductors, one for the Luminance channel Y, one for the Blue colour difference channel (U / Pb / Cb) and one for the Red colour difference channel (V / Pr / Cr). Component video cables only transmit the video signal, separate cables are needed for audio signals.
Component Video vs RGB
Is component video better than RGB? Well, yes and no, RGB provides the widest bandwidth and is the best choice for connecting audio visual devices like a Freeview box, digibox or Sky+ box to your TV, home cinema or home theatre system. DVD is however different, to reduce the amount of storage required DVDs are recorded using component video, it is therefore better to connect a DVD player via a component video cable to your TV, plasma or LCD TV etc.
Can I use a Component Video Cable for RGB?
The use of component video cables for RGB causes the most confusion, firstly the two signal systems are not compatible, if you try to connect component video to RGB you will not get a picture. The problem with using component video cables for RGB is that most consumer electronic devices require a video sync or a horizontal and vertical sync, the only way a component video lead will work for RGB is if both devices can sync on green, often referred to as RGsB or RGB3. Most devices use the RGB4 format or RGBs (RGB+Sync) where four signal cables are required, cables like the Profigold PGV7405 or PGV7410 are ideal in this application. A third less common mode is RGB5 or RGBHV, this format uses separate Horizontal and Vertical Syncs and requires five signal cables.

Als ik bovenstaande lees dan weet ik genoeg, de risico's zijn dan voor mijzelf.
Maar ik begrijp je gevoel, en dat achtergrond van het forum niet helemaal duidelijk en dus verwarrend is een feit. Ook hoe de relatie tussen hun en GXmax is is mij niet helemaal duidelijk.

This may be the first time that a GeeXboX release has been made without a player update... but hey, the enhancements were significant enough and so we bring you the new, fresh, version 0.98.7. GeeXboX now enters the "digital era" with a feature that many users have been waiting for : the DVB cards support. Basically you're now able to use any kind (PCI or USB) DVB device (either Cable, Terrestrial or Satellite) that is support under Linux (see website for more info) with this release of GeeXboX. Due to the i802.11 official stack inclusion in Linux 2.6.14, we've also decided to bring you better WiFi chipset support with the introduction of Prism54G and Centrino drivers.
Unfortunately, many of the DVB devices and WiFi chips require those nasty proprietary firmwares in order to work correctly. That is of no concern however, as GeeXboX now comes with its own brand new firmware auto-loader. You're even able to use the FLTK generator to grab them from the web for you and build an ISO that fits your needs. You can also use it to grab some more fonts or non-free codecs.
There's also some bad news that will soon be a major problem. For various reasons, InTouch, our current sponsor that provides us a virtual server with free hosting services, will certainly have to discontinue this offer after the 1st of January. As a result, we're currently looking for anybody that can help with mirroring solutions and/or grant us a new hosting service. After this date, we'll probably lose our server and won't be able to provide you with GeeXboX anymore. Our only solution will then be to buy a new dedicated server and host it with some provider. So, if you're able to help us by providing a server or hosting for free, please contact us.
Last, but not least (and to end on a positive note), we've added the latest trend in network sharing protocols that is being supported in many new consumer devices : UPnP. With its support, the GeeXboX is now able to auto-discover UPnP Media Server devices on your Home Network and play media content from them.
