Canal Satellite Digital will change the cards

 

Spanish digital package Canal Satellite Digital (CSD) has confirmed an Internet rumours about exchanging a code cards. Last year CSD have tried to fight with piracy by technical methods. But now, package has decided to choice most drastic and expensive solution - exchange all original cards (1,2 million of subscribers).

 

Millions of cards in the whole Europe are permiting onto inspection all channels - including erotic PPV - Taquilla X and XY, which are broadcasted for 24 hours - of this package without payment. Sending a false keys, or any other technical manoeuvres did not bring intentional effects, because on thew Internet websites already after an hour were remedial "medicine" for it. It looks like, that technicians, even the best, can do nothing about it and a further game with hackers does not male any sense.

 

The all Canal+ package became forced, through piracy to exchange the cards in Seca-Mediaguard system. The cost of exchange one card is about 15 Euro, what in case of 1,2 million of subscribers, will cost CSD at least 18 million Euro! Only in Poland exchange of 500.000 cards (after merger Wizja TV & Cyfra+) will cost Canal+ Poland only...7,5 million Euro!

 

New, safer cards have to prevent keys extraction from them. This was the manin mistake, which permits to preparing all pirate cards in a big quantity, and its dispatch/throw open in Internet websites. Italian package Tele+ has inform about cards exchange already ealier. Also Dutch, French and Polish Canal+ has such intentions. Now CSD has confirmed information from December, that it will soon exchange all cards - it was suppouse to be done in February. CSD is going to do it all at once. Accord to unofficial information cards will be exchange between March and April 2002 (will be late, because all new cards back to producer!).

If you are an Taquilla, Palco or Kiosk viewer about 85% of all movies are in English so the need to understand English is a must, don't you think so ? Or are you viewing only xxx movies up till now ?. After a while this look all the same to me !!

Ik denk altijd: eerst zien, dan geloven.

Tegen mensen die roepen dat Seca2 al "open" is, roep ik altijd terug: "jaja: en Irdeto-2 en Viaccess-2 die al WEL in de lucht zijn, zijn nog niet gekraakt...."

Uhmm.....Viaccess 2 is wel echt gekraakt.

Dat Seca 2 al gekraakt is lijkt mij ook sterk.

Dan vraag ik me af wie die 2,5 miljoen US dollars op zijn bankrekening heeft gekregen die door de rijke sjeik en eigenaar van ART als beloning werd gesteld als men alleen al met geldende en werkende keys van zijn station naar voren toe kwam......
