Pace Puma TD450 & Sony DVD Recorder HX710s Sync Record Issues

Please accpet my appologies for wirtting this in english. I do speak Dutch and can read it (still have to learn writting). If anyone will reply, please feel free to answer in Dutch. I hope this will not disturb any forum policies.

 

Main Issue: Sync recording between Tuner and DVD recorder.

 

Tuner: Pace Puma TD450.

Just downloaded the latest software 1.8.7. The tuner has EPG fucntionality and you can choose programs to record with timer function, so it will send a signal to the recorder or VCR to start recording on a chosen program and time. You can choose to record via the Scart to TV or Scart to TV2/VCR. I have two Scart cables connected (GOLD) to TV and DVD Recorder. The TV Scart is set to RGB (can also composite) and the TV2/VCR Scart is set to Scart/S-Video (can also composite). RF Module is set on TV and TV2/VCR. The audio is PCM.

 

DVD Recorder: Sony HX710s.

This recorder has a Sync Rec option which you need to activate as well as have the channel chosen to record from (L3 Scart TV2/VCR) chosen. I have followed all instrcutions to set this up correctly.

 

Detail of issues:

DVD Recorder and Tuner set up to "communicate to eachother". I have practically followed all scenarious by choosing different video defintions etc. I only use Scart cables. I do though can play DVD and record any film I have on the present moment I choose to record (so instant recording). I can see TV channel through the L3 line on the DVD recorder. Now I am not sure that I am recording instantly from TV or directly from tuner. So it seems that I can see the second channel from Tuner to DVD recorder, but not record. When choosing the Syn Rec option I loose the view of channel.

 

Anyone who can help?
