[70X0] PLI Flubber en (problemen met) 32 bit OSD

Hallo,

 

Zover ik nu zie werkt gSUB en de New Tuxwetter menu's niet lekker met de 32 bit OSD (van gSUB is het bij PLI al bekend zoals ik bij de downloads zie).

 

Indien mensen hier oplossingen of updates voor hebben verneem ik het graag (want ik vind de 32 bits OSD heel mooi, enkel jammer van deze plugins welke ik nu enkel kan gebruiken als ik terug ga naar 8 bits). Volgens mij werkt de rest wel goed of hebben jullie nog meer problemen ontdekt.

 

Misschien heeft het PLI team ook wat aan dit draadje om e.e.a. uit te leggen/statusupdate te geven of informatie vandaan te halen, of een ander indien deze een 32 bits OSD heeft gemaakt.

Aan plugins die rechtstreeks in de framebuffer schrijven zonder te controleren in welke mode de framebuffer staat kunnen wij helaas niets doen. Tenzij de sources van die plugins beschikbaar zijn.

Dus als iedereen meewerkt om uit te zoeken waar die plugins vandaan komen en proberen de ontwikkelaars te overtuigen de source vrij te geven, of hun plugin te fixen, kan dat op korte of lange termijn opgelost worden...

Satfind heeft nog nooit output gegeven op de TV. Dat was altijd al via het LCD display alleen.

Ik heb even alle e-mailadressen/fora opgezocht en gevraagd naar de source of een aanpassing. Ben benieuwd <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif" alt="" /> Als ik wat hoor laat ik het weten

Idee:

Is het mogelijk om in de plugin config aan te geven dat een plugin enkel voor 8 bit geschikt is? Dan kan enigma zelf overschakelen naar 8 bit voor de plugin gestart wordt.

Thanks for your offer to help.

 

Just a quick into into the subject. I do have a framebuffer class that handles both 32-bit and 8-bit mode by checking the mode. This is for example used in the 7025 version called 2SUB where all rendering is done into 32 bpp. But, to make the program to work in both modes, it would require me to change quite a lot outside the framebuffer code as I have a GUI, for example, where you should be able to select colors, these colors are stored in the config files etc. So, I know how to do this stuff but there are many more things into this than just rendering in 32bpp (which is the easy and already solved part).

 

There are several aspects of this for me. I need to try and keep the code in sync for 500-7020 boxes, 7025 boxes as well as the Triple Dragon boxes. 3 totally different boxes. All with different ways to operate, different color modes, different GUI etc. Different plugin strategy etc. So, at the moment, there is simply not room for another "branch" in the code...I will need to rework the whole structure of gSUB to get this good...and yes, this work has started but it will take some time.

 

So at the moment, there will be no 32bpp in this generation of gSUB. I am sorry for that, but the solution for gSUB user will be to use 8-bit in PLi.

I do need to spend my time and try and solve this without any quick and dirty fix now...really there are already too many quick fixes that I must try an deal with when I rewrite the whole code.

 

I also have an issue about this as I only own a 500 and a 7025 box and I cannot test this mode properly as it is not supported by the 500 box. So, development of this would be rather difficult for me.

 

I hope you guys understand me on this. It is not that I do not want to help and get gSUB running in this mode, it is just that I need to do it by a big rewrite and not a quick fix.
