ik wil een image van gutan 05022004 installeren, maar hij moet op een usb stick of op harddisk anders werkt hij niet.

 

HowTo to start alternative images'(10) of USB,CF,HDD or NFS without modifying

the image of Dream.

Image of Dream must be on the box (Version >=rel107.img).

An USB-Stick or a Compact flash Card with at least 64 MB (is sufficient for

3-4 images).

If an image does not want to run once, simply remove the Stick or the CF and

reboot the box. A further flashing is not necessary.

The combination of CF and HDD is not possible (Bug in the Kerneldriver) but

all other combinations are not a problem.

 

Starting image from HDD:

Who has movies on his HDD should safe them first.

You can format the HDD with following command:

umount /hdd

mkfs.ext3 /dev/ide/host0/bus0/target0/lun0/part1

mount /dev/ide/host0/bus0/target0/lun0/part1 /hdd

mkdir /hdd/movie

The HDD is formatted and linked into the system at Mountpoint "/hdd"

Die commandos kun je invoeren met Telnet.
Start-uitvoeren-telnet-enter

open xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx enter (ip nummer dreambox)volg commandos op het scherm.

ik heb alles gedaan wat ik moest doen. ik moest eerst rebooten en dan pas de image ftp'en en dat heb ik dus voor de reboot gedaan <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/frown.gif" alt="" /> . nu start hij niet meer op. hij geeft foutmeldingen dat hij de image niet kan starten. dom dom dom van mij

Running the Setup:

Copy the file "tools.tar.gz" with some FTP program to "/tmp"and the 2

"setup" files to "var/tuxbox/plugins". Now just start the plugin by pressing

the blue button.Restart Box and check if everything went right.

 

moet ik de tools.tar.gz uitpakken op windows machine of doet de dreambox hetzelf?

als ik op de blauwe button druk zegt hij dat het niet uitgepakt is
