Critical Error

Aanbevolen berichten

Nu wil ze het er weer opzetten maar krijgt na het installeren het bericht;

Critical error.

General protection fault!

History;appInit.

Some games stilll work with limited accounts after they have been installed and run once either using an administrator account, or by temporarily changing the limited user account(s) to an admin account in Control Panel / User Accounts, just for the purpose of running the game the first time in order to be able to create the keys in the registry which CD Copy protection software needs to generate, but may not be able to due to the restrictive nature of limited account

If that mouthful doesn't resolve the issue, use the "Run As..' command instead:

1. Click Start / Control Panel / User Accounts / Create a New Account / Name the Account: "able2play" (without quotes) / Next Pick: "Computer-Administrator" & Click "Create Account";

Click on your new able2play account and Create a Password for it;

When your limited user wants to clay a game that requires Administrator privileges they can Right-Click the shortcut to that game / Click Run As... / "The Following User": able2play and enter the password. Simple as that!

I know what you're thinking: That defeats the purpose of the limited user accoun To secure the "able2play" account so that it can't be used to logon to the comport

What I do is add a shortcut to the windows Icgoff routine into the RUN key of the able2play registry. I made a reg patch to simplify this process if you wish to u

4. Logon to the "ahle2play" account,

5. <ONLY RUN THIS PATCH USING THE "AELE2PLP_Y" ACCCUNT>

Save this patch to your drive and then doubleolick it to install it to your

or

*Instead of using the reg patch, click Start / Run / regedt32 / browse to: [HKCU\SOFTWARE\ Microsoft\WindowsVCurrentVersienARunl and Click Edit / New / String value / ValueName: logoff / Value data: logoff

From now on, if anyone logs on with the "able2play" account, the computer will to them off immediately. They will not gain access to an administrators desktopl

History:appInit

de uitkomst lees ik dan wel.

QUESTION

When starting a new game, an error occurs stating "General Protection fault History:: AppINIT"

ANSWER

There was likely some trouble writing the games configuration file when the game was started. You will want to delete the bad configuration file so that the game can re-write this file properly.

To delete this configuration file:

1. Click on the Windows Start button, then click on either Find or Search.

2. Click on the Files and Folders selection.

3. In the Named field enter game.ini. Choose the hard drive that the game was installed to in the Look In field. Usually this is the C: drive.

4. Click Find Now or Search and give the utility a moment to find the file.

5. Once the file is located delete it from the listing in this window. Left-click on the file to highlight it then either right click the file and choose Delete or press the Delete key on your keyboard.

6. Click Yes when prompted then close this window.

This should resolve the trouble, However, it is recommended that you ensure that all of the minimum requirements for the game are met and that you video card drivers are as up to date as possible. Any driver updates can be obtained at the video card manufacturer's web site or check with your hardware vendor for more information on obtaining these.

leendert,

misschien eens proberen?

cheers

Als iemand zo iets over mij zegt sla ik hem op z'n bek

😁
