I have similair results as Urkel.

 

If I use gamma 0.5 soft and I change to game-one and then to K1 or whatever the module seems to crash. BTW I use a hauppauge DVB-s, only a restart of the software (=poweroff cam) and direct selecting of e.g. K1 is decrypting the channel.

 

Second, if my freecam 2.018 in emulation mode is in slot 2 it interfers with the gamma 0.5! After 8 seconds or so, the picture & sound freezes and after 8 seconds later it is ok. If I remove the FC 2.018 it's all ok. It looks like the FC 2.018 tries to do also seca decoding and it's not decrypting so no picture and sound. Next turn magic is first to provide decrypt and it goes ok.

A short update regarding the Echostar AD3000ip :

after inserting the Magic Module in slot 2 the same problem with the bad picture occurs. Seems to me the bits in the videostream are not always passed on in the right way. Sound seems to be okay though.

 

Then I still have a remaining question with respect to the way the Magic Module is to be programmed:

 

In step one as well as in step two "The Manual" states: remove and re-insert the module.

I assume this has to be done with the power still on the CI.

However I've always been told a GOLDEN RULE: NEVER insert or remove a CI with the power still on, because off the possible damage it could do to the CI.

I tried to programm the Magic Module by not removing and re-inserting the module but just switching off and on the receiver and this works as well.

So what's basicly better: the one way or the other?

While the CAM's are build on the PCMCIA standard

they are also hot-swappable. Therefor they can be inserted and extracted with power still on.

i bought this module to, keeping in my mind that in satelite world standarts can change very fast, (seca- seca2 etc.) and perhaps with this module i can folow this changements without buying new hardware.

 

now the module is activated in my strong 4375 but, and perhaps this is the same problem as with the topfield some channels are not working. while the same module and funcard fitted in the humax 5400 is giving no problem at al except for the viacces channels.

 

wit my strong 4375 and the modul with the 3-1 or 5-1 files i can watch dutch channels and premiere but no palco or taquilla, kiosq opens the 9 - 12 channels but not the 1-8 channels (strange)

 

taquilla x,xx,xxx are working ! but i never watch them.

premiere needs sometimes receiver on/of but not in the humax

 

viacces (tv 1000) is not working at al.

 

do you have any idea when whe can expect new software ?

hi,

i have the magic module in a gb sat reciever and it works wel on seca with a orginal card and fun card.

3in1 works also wel.

irdeto no problems via also no problems.

on seca works the auto update not.

on a fta channel i became a message gamma crypt no acces but i have a picture .te same message come also on channels that te magic modul can not decrypt but my free cam can (nagra)

could you remove that message in your nex update?

i have now beta 2 in it with no messages and it work wel with seca.only the auto update works not.

also i have te cam testet in a micronic but that was a disaster.(shit micronic).seca only 4 providers in te cam menu with te same card as in the gb sat.no picture on seca.

irdeto works also not in the mic.

wen i inserd the module in the mic also no picture on sat1 pro7 kabel1.remove te cam give the picture bak

There are indeed problems with Taquilla etc etc but Viacces on sirius is working great with MM gamma05 with my Topfield.

Hello,

 

Common interface standard say "cam must be can inserted and extracted with power on with no damage", I do this way and no problems.

 

Receiver power off and on also work and perhaps safer? I also see boxes that you do power off but still give power to CAM with power switch off!

yesterday i received an email from the man with the humax, he said that his dish was not directed to sirius but another satelite !

no wonder we couldn't get any picture at al, so i may asume now that mm would be working with sirius-viacces.

I think you did a nice job so far, if I may say so.

I am using a Echostar 3000IP like Kcplus and I have similar problems with regard to interference (blocks, green lines etc.) as if the signal is interupted from time to time.

I think you would do us users a great favour if you would try to adress this problem.

Strong 4375 - update

with gamma 0.6 still no viacces on strong 4375, i tried a lot of files, checked keys, all channels are working exept viacces.

 

i hope you have any idea why this is so and that you can fix this in another betaversion like you did with topfield problem.

yes Alan,

 

i tried on sirius, tv 1000, ticket, cinema and also hrt-croatia on hotbird (viacces coded) but no picture.

 

i used the fun 5 in 1 from the pool today (15mrt)(satkoos humax version) and with isvedit i set the coco to international, this makes the file working for seca an irdeto channel but not viacces.

 

is there any strong owner who got these channels working ?

ehhh check you PMK and provider ID for stream

 

here it does autoupdate in the 3in1.

 

so stream is ok alanS.

 

set coco the second to 0602, if not, no autoupdate on stream.Stream changes a lot from plainkey.2days ago they update to new PMKs.

So if PMK with provider ID is not up to date, you can not see stream.

Yeah ok, you can say now, your file has s*ec* keys on it.

Thats a common problem with many digi recievers.

The look first to Ird*t* on stream, if no valid key, they do not want to switch to s*c*.
