NFS Client for Windows 7

Hi,

 

I was just looking into how to do this myself last night... It turns out Windows 7 has a built in NFS client, it's just hidden away!

 

To activate it, you need to go to Control Panel -> Programs and Features.

 

On the left hand side, there's a few options, you need to select 'Turn Windows features on or off'.

 

A Windows Features box pops up - you need to select Services for NFS. Actually you can open it up and just select Client for NFS.

 

Hit OK and it will install.

 

Now you can use the mount command from the command line to map NFS drives. For instance:

 

mount \\192.168.0.10\share s:

 

where you'll need to put the ip address of your nmt and the path to the NFS share on it...

als het al met dreambox te maken heeft wegens het willen maken van een MOUNT op je w7 pC, dan moet er wel bij vermeld worden dat dit niet voor alle distributies van w7 geldig is

ik dacht vanaf windows 7 professional

met dat laatste ben ik aan het proberen, zonder succes echter :-)

ik wil gewoon mijn hd waar muziek opstaat, kunnen zien in mijn dreambox 800. dus als er een andere makkelijker manier is.....

een andere manier die makkelijk IS bij windows pC's is CIFS mounten

dus de samba workgroup op je dm800 aanpassen opdat ie gelijk is met de pC

 

en dan enkel de muziek map op pC delen tbv user:paswoord

en dm800 met networkbrowser / de map mounten
