Wat is Bullz_text nou precies?

Wie weet wat Bullz_text nou precies doet. Hij zit standaard onder Hydra Achilles maar heb nog niet kunnen uitvogelen/begrijpen wat dit nou doet. Heb een vermoeden van iets met ondertiteling en teletekst maar helemaal zeker weten doe ik het niet.

Bullz-text is een ondertiteling addon voor je dreambox.

Ik gebruik zelf Drtic 1.9 ned. Dus heb geen ervaring met Bullz-text.

Had zelf ook al zo'n vermoeden. Maar waar haalt ie alles vandaan dan ? Via internet of uit de teletekst? Of moet je zelf tekst bestanden aanleveren?

 

Iemand wel enige ervaring met Bullz_text?

 

Kan zelf nl. weinig info vinden. Ook niet op "het net"......

FTP to dreambox

bullz_text.cfg => /var/etc/bullz_text.cfg (ascii)

bullz_text.fnt => /var/etc/bullz_text.fnt (binary)

bullz_text => /var/bin (binary)

sub_title.so => /var/tuxbox/plugins (binary)

sub_title.cfg => /var/tuxbox/plugins (ascii)

 

Before you make the ftp transfer you can edit

the configuration file at your wish. Please

use an editor which can handle Unix text or

execute DOS2UNIX after the edit

The colors of the subtitle is configurable. Either

you write the raw value or one of the preconfigured.

 

It is also possible to edit the font file, bullz_text.fnt.

Normally this is not the case but if you want to do

this you have the utility Softy.

In case you edit the file. Do not change anything else

than the pixels (No size or order)

 

Next you open a telnet connection to your dreambox and do the following

> cd /var/bin

> chmod 511 bullz_text # or chmod 733 for less security

> ./bullz_text

If you for some reason want to suspend the text output for some time

you can do that by creating the file /tmp/suspend_bullz_text

The size is unimportant. Through telnet you do this

with the command 'touch /tmp/suspend_bullz_text'

To deactivate the suspend just delete the file and the text should be there again.

telnet command for delete: 'rm /tmp/suspend_bullz_text'

It is also possible to suspend through the config file (See bullz_text.cfg)

 

In case you will start it at boot, just edit the file /var/etc/init.

Add the following line at the end of that file (but before 'exit' if that exist)

Important: Dont forget any character

bullz_text has also some command line options (which overide config file)

-h A little help

-b Let the program run as background (default from version 0.16)

-f Let the program run as forground

-v Change output from console to stderr (your terminal)

Will only work in forground mode

-d <level> Change the debug level. (<level> can be 0 - 3)

-l <lang) Sets the country code (dan,fin,nor,swe,ita,eng)

 

More features in the 'bullz_text.cfg' file

 

bullz_text can reread the file /var/etc/bullz_text.cfg and change

some parameters during run time. To change parameters just edit the

file and when you have finished editing just run the script

'/var/bin/cfg_bullz_text'.

 

The only parameters which are read and changed during this are:

language:

language2:

colorindex:

delta_y:

 

GUI PLUGIN:

The GUI plugin can be started from the plugin menu.

 

1st Language: Change to the prefered language of your choice

2nd Language: Change to the language you choose if your prefered dont exist

Color: Setting the foreground and background color of the characters

START: Press green button to start bullz_text

STOP: Press red button to abport bullz_text

CHANGE: Press blue button when you want to update your configuration

ABOUT: Press yellow button you will see version number and if you

are connected to internet even the latest released version of bullz_text.

Some status information about the running bullz_text

 

Important

=========

To abort the program just type /var/bin/kill_bullz_text in a telnet window

and a clean abort is executing. Do NOT use kill (or killall).

 

The program is using the Console for Notice, Warnings and Errors.

You can read the Console through a nullmodemcable to your PC. (just 115200 bps 8N1)

 

If you don't have this you can change in the configuration file or use command

line option (-v). If you run in background it will if force the messages to

console all the time.

 

Known limitations and bugs

It will only recognice the 'dan','eng','fin','nor','swe' and 'ita' language

For others language will the character probably be wrong

The size of the subtitle is not changable.

Kan zelf nl. weinig info vinden. Ook niet op "het net"......

Volgens mij werkt het (ook) met teletext waar het ondertitels vandaan haalt.
Ik heb het een keertje geprobeerd, en idd een ondertitel gekregen, maar omdat het uit de teletext kwam niet de taal die ik graag had...Wel heel goed instelbaar en aanpasbaar allemaal.

Hi,

 

Start maar een sky cinema op. Dan krijg je automatisch de ondertitels erbij. Helaas in 't engels of noors of zo.

Het wordt meegezonden met 't signaal en nederlands zit daar zeker (helaas) niet bij.

Ik weet niet welke zenders het wel of juist niet hebben.

 

Is wel makkelijk als je wilt kijken op de slaapkamer zonder moeders wakker te maken. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/loldev.gif" alt="" />

Sky Cinema zendt toch gewone films uit en is dus geen typisch "potloodkanaal", toch? <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif" alt="" />

Als er dan ondertitels bij zitten is het makkelijk voor de doven onder ons.
